Myself and Dave have actually known each other since we was children as we grew up on the same housing estate, but we got introduced to each other as adults by my best friend Louise about 6 years ago.
Dave made the first move and messaged me first. After exchanging messages for about 6 weeks I decided to go on a date with him, which was at Dave’s house for a Chinese. Dave later took me to London in April and officially asked me to be his “partner “.
Dave made the first move by messaging me first 😜 I took a few days to respond as I didn’t see the message.
I am the boss no question about it. 🙈😂
I am definitely the best cook. 😏
I love Dave’s funny and silly sense of humour, he is always making me laugh.
Dave is always hogging the blanket.
His most annoying habits, he keeps putting stuff in the bin when it needs emptying and never empties it. 🙈😂
Dave is so special to me because he has the biggest heart ❤️, he is so thoughtful and always puts us first. He taught me it’s ok to love again and he actually shown me what true love is.

A born adventurer, David has travelled from Nepal to Australia, but Devon Cliffs remains a cherished childhood spot. By day, he’s the “Chocolate Man” at Cadbury’s in Bournville, where he’s worked for nearly 20 years. With an Engineering degree, he’s a whizz at work and the go-to for all things chocolate!
His kindness shines, especially towards his sister Vicky, who has cerebral palsy. He’s made lasting memories with friends and dedicated time to Birmingham Phab Camps, spreading joy. Now, with Vicky, Rosa, and Aiden by his side, he’s living the dream. Here’s to David and Vicky’s wedding—a celebration of love and adventure!
Dave on Vicki
I’ve known of Vicki for a very very long time but only have got to know Vicki once we started dating …. So about 6 years. We met through a friends recommendations, Louise Young told me to message Vicki via Facebook messenger and ask her out for a date ha eventually she seen it and decided to respond and I asked her to pop in for a cuppa before she picked Aidan up from nursery.
Our first unofficial date was at mine with a cheeky Chinese where she coated my carpets in beef curry.
Our first date where we went out out was at the rage rooms Birmingham, where you kind of take your frustrations out on old tech, to try something different and then for some drinks and food after, but little did I know how much Vicki was going to go in on the tv’s and printers, I actually think she sprained her wrist.
As you can imagine I made the first move by kissing her on the back of the head as she came down my stairs ha ha, it was such a romantic moment.
Why Vicki … the moment I met her she carried such positive , happy energy which I knew is exactly why I wanted. Vicki had the most engaging eyes with a beautiful smile, if I’m honest, I knew it from then I wanted her in my life.
I would say not one of us wears the trousers. we are both terrible at making decisions, I would like to think we are 50/50 ha, I could be so wrong here.
Vick cooks way more than I do and makes some fantastic dishes so I would have to say her, but I can also cook a good meal when I take my time lol. I don’t like cooking for longer than half hour.
She makes me laugh every day by just being her clumsy funny self and makes me smile by checking in in me when I’m at work and sending me updates of the kids. When’s she’s out shopping I always get a packet of biscuits brought for me, so I know she’s always thinking of me.
Vick doesn’t hog the blanket, she’s a hot bod as I call her and I wake up sweating as she’s thrown it all on me ha ha. Her most annoying habit is Vicki’s mid nights snacking adventures, he actually sleep eats but only sweets and eats them like it’s her last supper.
Vicki is sooo special to me in a nut shell as she brings nothing but happiness to mine and the kids lives, she is the best mommy ever. Vicki is the most caring person I have ever met, she puts everyone else first before herself to make sure everyone feels the best they can.
I just love everything about her xx.
